Day 1 Paris here we are!

09 July, 2011

Well we made it to Paris and to our apartment! Weather is only 22 degrees and overcast. The first thing we saw as we got out of the underground was...yes it was the Eiffel Tower. We are so excited but very tired. Apartment it great and modern and has a computer that I am typing from now. Still trying to work out the keyboard as it is not the same as Australia. (and everything is in French...funny that). Our already favourite saying is"It's all French to me!"). The flight was long and I (Marilyn) was sick most of the way from Melbourne to Hong Kong.
Here is a photo of us just out from the train station. Will post again soon. We have places to see and things to do and we need to stay awake. Love to all.

I do not know if this sounds dumb or not but the Eiffel Tower does not look all that big, the picture of you just out of the train station with the Eiffel tower in the background makes it look like it is only as tall as the Marion Tower at the Westfield Marion shopping centre.
Don't waste to much time sleeping Josh you have to go and try eating Snails ( Escargot )yum yum.
Hey Daniel are you going to see any of the Tour De France, I mean you are in the right place for it.

Mazz that does not sound good you being sick most of the way, I hope it was just nerves from hoping everything goes well, I thought Paul did not like flying.
Have fun Sakovits one and all.

Bonjour!!Wow we were so thrilled to see you in Paris this morning when we logged on. How amazing this world is...one week eating lunch with your friends in a cafe in Adelaide and the next posing with one of the World's most recognized structures in Paris - we are truly blessed to live in this day and age.
Sorry about the sickness Mazz it is not much fun in a confined tin can...however I am sure that is all but a memory now.

It has a mortised engine. The set also has seven other meccano vehicles including two cars, a rocket, a submarine, another two trains and a tractor. Have a great time in paris.
